Funny T-shirts

Willie, one of my employees, is always wearing ridiculously funny t-shirts to work.  I tried to take a picture of all of these shirts, but only got a few, as I can barely remember my water bottle for work in the morning, let alone my camera.  The last picture is my favorite.  Willie was wearing his Santa t-shirt to work, when lo and behold, Santa Claus himself walked into the store.

Lately I have been wanting to do artsy projects, call myself artsy, and hope people believe I really am... artsy.   Pinteres t has been amazing, in that I can find fun and easy home projects, pin them to my  craft board , and then attack them when I have a free day.  Well today was 'do something creative with a map' day. I have always wanted a world map in my home, but I hate using thumb tacks, and who wants to have a poster continuously falling down because the sticky putty you are using is useless. (Ahem, Marcos, I'm talking to you.) And because I want a GIANT world map, buying a frame for it is out of the question, as they are too expensive. Luckily, I found this project by Creative Juices Decor on Deedra's pinterest board .  Canvases and Mod Podge?  I'm in. Master Michelle Meredith & Master Stefan Hovik

I'M SO PROUD!  My baby sister, Michelle, graduated with her Masters in Recreation from the college of Education, and Stefan, her fiancée, graduated with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. 6 years and they are done done done!  After their graduation, they packed up the Uhaul and left Moscow to live in my Kent Condo until after their wedding.  Stefan got a job with Boeing working as a mechanical engineer and Michelle is currently planning their  wedding (June 25th) and job seeking in the south Seattle area.  Congratulations you two!!!   Michelle walking to her seat! Bad weather is such a jerk sometimes....

The weather in Skagway has been nothing but gorgeous the last month.  June 23rd, however, I woke, cheerful and excited for my trip... but then I opened my door and stepped outside and instantly my heart sunk.  The clouds were so low you couldn't even see lower lake mountain side.  Of all days, the day I was planning on flying to Italy, Skagway decides to get socked in.  Booo hooo!! I missed all my connections and after a long day of crying on the phone and begging expedia reps, I got no mercy.  (Expedia is the DEVIL!!!)  I finally got some love from Delta (although they did charge me my first born child) but was able to get re-booked the next morning.  Air excursions got me out to Juneau on time to catch the last flight to Seattle (they also ripped my bag, which I demanded the replace and they agreed!)  Geez... what a day!! After I arrived in Seattle, Francis Fields, who is staying in my condo this month, graciously came and picked me up so...
