Turkey Pie - a family tradition!

Every year after the holidays, Mom makes the delicious and very famous turkey pies.  We use all the left overs from the holiday dinner and make the most wonderful pies in the world! (Seriously, my mother should open a pie shop in Ketchikan and serve these.... people would go NUTS!)
This recipe was brought over from England from my Great Grandmother Flora, taught to my Grandma Joanne, who then taught my Mom, who just taught me :)
I'm not going to tell you how it's done.... but we made four!!!  I am bringing a frozen one to Skagway this spring to enjoy, as it's the perfect reminder of home. One bite into this heavenly creation, and you would be hooked too!!  Here are some pictures!

Lately I have been wanting to do artsy projects, call myself artsy, and hope people believe I really am... artsy.   Pinteres t has been amazing, in that I can find fun and easy home projects, pin them to my  craft board , and then attack them when I have a free day.  Well today was 'do something creative with a map' day. Day 11! Detox Done Ubud, Bali

11 days, 10 nights, 0 food. 11 lbs lost, 11 friends gained, and a basket full of new knowledge to bring home. People always ask about my experience here, and it isn't something I can put into a few sentences, let alone even finding the right words. Every trip has been different. Every detox a new lesson learned. In order to know what happens here, to understand this process, you have to go through it yourself.
